Leanne Shapton is an illustrator, author and publisher based in New York City. She is the co-founder, with photographer Jason Fulford, of J&L Books, an internationally-distributed not-for-profit imprint specializing in art and photography books. In 2012 Shapton published Swimming Studies with Blue Rider Press. It won the 2012 National Book Critic’s Circle Award for autobiography. Shapton is represented by The Wylie Agency.
Nikolas Gambaroff (born 1979, Germany) is a German artist who lives and works in New York City. Gambaroff’s work engages with both the language of public discourse — newspapers, ads — and the architectural language of display, the once-sanctified white cube of the gallery space. He received his MFA from Bard College, School of Visual Arts, New York in 2007.
